DyLight™ 488 Phalloidin is a fluorescent probe designed for labeling the cytoskeleton of fixed cells by binding with high affinity to F-actin. Due to the inherent toxicity of phalloidin, this product is intended for use in fixed cells only and is not suitable for live cell imaging. The lyophilized material, when reconstituted, provides sufficient stock solution for 3,000 assays.
- Excitation: 495 nm; Emission: 521 nm.
- Stable for 1 year at -20°C when stored desiccated and protected from light.
- Reconstitution requires anhydrous DMSO; aqueous solution stability is low.
- Compatible with immunofluorescence in all species.
- Recommended for use with methanol-free 4% formaldehyde fixation.
